I am grateful to my late Grandmother, Marlys Steidl, who wrote the children's book  Down on the Farm. Grandma never had the chance to publish her book, but her children bound the book and distributed copies to all of her children and grandchildren. Down on the Farm is a wonderful story of a boy who visits his grandparents on a Midwestern farm and meets the animals that live there. It is told in a poetic fashion with rhyming words that portrays her unique style and talent. I am grateful for the seeds Grandma planted that have inspired my interest in writing children's books.
