About the Author

 Jesica grew up on a dairy farm in rural Minnesota. During university, she started to travel and learn about world cultures, languages, religions, and more.  She is excited to share her experiences and adventures with you through children's books!

Jesica earned a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and a Master of Liberal Studies in ESOL Education as well as certificates in Montessori preschool education and children's literature writing.  She is also a certified yoga teacher. She has taught English as a second and foreign language in Jordan, Honduras, Thailand, Macau, Uganda, and the USA. She teaches ESL for the University of Wisconsin and trains teachers for the International TEFL Academy of Chicago.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, painting, learning French, gardening, and traveling. She lives with her husband, Abel, two big dogs, four cuddly kittens, and 12 backyard chickens in New Mexico.
